Wietse has just started a PhD in economics in Tilburg in the Netherlands. One topic that he has always taken special interest in is the economics of the European Union. Through AEGEE and Erasmus+ he has met people and seen places all over Europe, with both striking similarities and striking differences. In his opinion it is the task of the EU to balance the interests of all these people. Consequently it is important for everyone to make themselves heard. Wietse joined YVote to encourage young people to do just that. He is hoping that everyone who reads this will (figuratively) join him at the voting booth in June!
