Valeria González is from Spain. She’s studying journalism, and she’s a part of the AEGEE Tenerife antenna. In the Y Vote Project, she works in the PR & Comms team. Now, you might be wondering about her previous involvement in EU elections. The truth is, she’s a newcomer to this whole experience. When asked if she has ever voted in the EU elections before, she has to admit: “No, honestly, this is the first time I’ve even heard about EU elections. So, it will be my first time.”
So, why did she decide to join Y Vote? There were a couple of reasons. Firstly, she thought it would be cool to be part of a project that’s happening in Europe. For her, it’s a chance to make a difference on a larger scale. Secondly, she saw it as a great chance to get some hands-on experience in her journalism studies. And last but not least, it’s an amazing opportunity to connect with people from all over Europe.
She’s excited to be a part of Y Vote and to work with the PR & Comms group. She hopes her fresh perspective, as someone new to the EU elections, will add something special to our work.
