If you are a French citizen voting in France

If you live in France, as a French citizen, you can cast your vote at the polling station written on your voter registration card, which should be in your municipality. Keep in mind that you have to register to be able to vote. You can find more information about registration here. You can either do it at the city hall, online or by mail.

And guess what?! If you have registered for the previous elections or you are a first-time voter and the authorities informed you about it, you should be automatically registered for the 2024 European Elections, no need to do it one more time. If you changed your address or the authorities did not send you a notification as a first-time voter, you have to register.

Deadline for registration: 3 May 2024 for registering in person or 1 May 2024 for registering online

If you are a French citizen voting from another EU country

If you live abroad and wish to vote for the candidates running in France, then you have to register at the French embassy or consulate in the country where you currently are.

If you have previously registered in the “Register of French citizens established outside France”, the authorities will consider it for the 2024 European Elections, unless you wish to vote in your country of residence. Keep in mind that you cannot vote for both countries! Learn more here.

Deadline for registration: 3 May 2024
